After our 15 Year Old Hebridean Wisp sold out last year, we returned to the same rare 50 year old ex-Solera Oloroso sherry butt. One year later, we have bottled another 180 bottles, now at 16 years old – and that extra year has taken the whisky to an entirely new level.

Distilled in February 2010 and bottled in July 2026 at cask strength of 55.8% ABV, this peated Hebridean Island single malt beautifully balances coastal character, gentle smoke and rich sherry influence. Finished in a rare first fill ex-Solera Oloroso sherry butt, it offers layers of raisin, dark fruit and warming spice, complemented by soft saline peat and lingering ember smoke. Rich, complex and wonderfully composed, it finishes with a touch of dry oak. Bottled straight from the cask with no colouring and no chill-filtration.

Nose: Coastal salinity with light peat smoke, balanced by sweet raisin and gentle spice

Palate: Rich dark fruit, complemented by a soft saline peat influence

Finish: Lingering smoke with a touch of oaky dryness
